Calgary’s Stage 4 Outdoor Water Restrictions return

The City of Calgary has determined that additional repairs to the Bearspaw Feeder Main are needed. This will require a planned outage from August 26 until the end of September that will bring the city back to Stage 4 Outdoor Water Restrictions.

While no businesses will be closed, the use of outdoor potable water will be prohibited, and businesses are encouraged to reduce their water consumption by 25 per cent. Residents will also be asked to limit showers to three minutes, skip flushes when possible and only wash full loads of dishes and laundry. The Calgary Chamber will continue to monitor the situation and advocate for minimal business disruption.
